Nollywood actress Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha has announced the death of her father, Leonard Ndukaife Chukwuka.
The actress made this known in an emotional post on Instagram on Friday, October 2, 2026.
Chioma said her father had gone to be with the Lord and described his death as painful.
She also revealed that she lost her mother 13 years ago, meaning she is now without both parents.
The actress expressed gratitude that her father lived a long life and was able to see his children and grandchildren.
Chioma said losing a parent is difficult, adding that no matter how many years people spend with their parents, they still wish for more time, conversations and moments together.
She said she had kept the news private while dealing with her grief before deciding to announce it.
Chioma asked the public to pray for her, her siblings and the entire Chukwuka family, adding that details of her father’s funeral would be announced when the family is ready
