KingsField College, Ikorodu, Lagos State, has celebrated 20 years of academic growth and institutional development, with its management, staff and students reflecting on the school’s journey from humble beginnings to a thriving centre of learning.

The milestone was marked at a press conference held on Tuesday at the school’s multipurpose hall, where stakeholders highlighted the institution’s achievements, challenges and plans for the future.

Speaking at the event, the Proprietress of Kingsfield College, Mrs Susan Nkechiyere Iluno, expressed gratitude to God for the milestone, describing the anniversary as a testament to faith, resilience and dedication. She commended members of the school’s leadership, particularly Mrs Hannah Amali (principal of Ijede Campus), Mrs Joy Okafor (Ebutte Campus)and Mr Adedire Kayode (Head Master Kingsfield Nursery & Primary School), for their contributions to the institution’s growth.

However, Mrs Susan Iluno also praised the Managing Director, Engr Chuks Iluno, for his sustained support and commitment to the development of the school.

She recalled that KingsField began 20 years ago with only one student, Ms Nimota Muritana, and 22 members of staff. From that modest beginning, she said, the school had expanded into a thriving educational institution. According to her, the next phase would focus on embracing digital education, upgrading facilities and creating more opportunities for learners, while nurturing the long-term ambition of expanding the institution’s educational offerings from a school to tetriary instution.

In his keynote address by the Managing Director, Engr Chuks Iluno, delivered by the Principal of the Ijede Campus, Mrs Hannah Amali, paid tribute to the foundation members and staff for their resilience, passion and dedication over the years. He urged the school community to approach its next chapter with a shared vision, collaboration and innovation, stressing that sustained commitment to excellence would remain central to the institution’s future.

The school’s competitive exploits also featured prominently at the anniversary celebration, with Amali highlighting KingsField’s victory at the Young Junior Engineers competition. She said the school emerged as the overall national champion after finishing first in the South-West, adding that the institution was determined to defend its title. “We are going to represent again and this time we are coming back with the first position,” she said, signalling the school’s ambition to build on its achievements as it enters its third decade.
