Mavin Records has taken further action against social media personality Lotanna Harry, issuing him a 48-hour ultimatum over what the label describes as unauthorised claims of association with its brand. The latest move comes through a cease-and-desist notice from Lex Libra Partners, acting on behalf of MG Entertainment Nigeria Limited, the company behind Mavin.

According to the notice dated September 24, 2026, Mavin accused Harry of making social media representations that allegedly gave the impression that he had the label’s backing or recognition. The label’s lawyers specifically referenced his Instagram activity and demanded that content linking him to Mavin be removed, retracted and permanently deleted.

The dispute is not entirely new. Mavin had previously issued a public disclaimer in September, stating that Harry had never been appointed as an employee, agent, representative or authorised intermediary of the label. The company said its known relationship with him was limited to his engagement as a paid video model on a subcontract basis for selected productions.

The latest legal notice also referred to a 2025 petition allegedly filed against Harry at the Lagos State Police Special Fraud Unit over accusations including impersonation, identity theft and criminal misrepresentation. Mavin’s lawyers claimed that Harry had previously apologised and undertaken not to repeat the alleged conduct, before accusing him of making similar representations again. These remain allegations made by the label and its legal representatives.

Mavin has now demanded that Harry stop using its name, image or brand in any manner that could suggest an official connection. The label warned that failure to comply within 48 hours of receiving the notice could result in civil and/or criminal legal action, adding another chapter to the growing dispute over Harry’s alleged representation of the Mavin brand.
